Re: Invitation to attend the ATW-2024/isDDRHD-2024 in Shenzhen, China

Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the organizing committee, it is our pleasure to invite you to attend the 20th Ataxia-Telangiectasia Workshop (ATW-2024) in conjunction with the 15th international symposium on DNA Damage Response & Human Disease (isDDRHD-2024), which will be held in Shenzhen, China, on Oct. 17-20th, 2024. The host is the Shenzhen University (SZU) Medical School. The co-organizers are Drs. Xingzhi (Xavier) Xu (SZU), Zhao-Qi Wang (Leibniz Institute of Age Research-Fritz Lipmann Institute (FLI), Germany), and Peter McKinnon (St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, USA). Please be informed that up to 10 oral presentations will be selected from submitted abstracts, and up to 10 travel awards (US$500 each) and 10 poster awards (US$200 each) will be given away.
The ATW traditionally gathers basic research scientists, clinicians and social helpers to discuss the progress and current status of the AT research, aiming to deliver strategies to cure the disease. The meeting will cover molecular and cellular studies of ATM and its interacting networks in DNA damage-related or non-related signaling and the clinical aspects of the disease. The isDDRHD series with a theme focusing on DNA damage response, genome stability and cancer was initiated as the Sino-German DNA Repair meeting in 2010 and has evolved into an annual international symposium since 2012. Over the past 14 years, isDDRHD has earned the reputation as one of the strongest and most respected research conferences in China. The theme of this joint meeting is A-T molecular & clinical networks and genome stability.
Information on meeting program, registration, abstract submission and accommodations will be available at our meeting website http://www.isDDRHD.com/ shortly.
Shenzhen is a must-see city in southeastern China right across Hong Kong. It is a flag-post of China’s economic progression. It is the first Special Economic Zone in China and well-known for its modern cityscape. In October, the temperature is around 20-25 degrees. We are sure that you will have a memorable experience.
We are confident that your participation will strengthen the discussion, promote basic and clinical research, and benefit the cure of the AT and AT-related and genome instability-related diseases.
We are looking forward to seeing you in Shenzhen in the near future.

Best wishes,

Xingzhi (Xavier) Xu, PhD, Professor
Peter McKinnon, PhD, Professor
Zhao-Qi Wang, PhD, Professor
